THESA is the BCTF Professional Specialist Association for Home Economics and ADST Educators Members are Home Economics and ADST educators in British Columbia, Canada, collaborating together for the betterment of individuals, families, and communities.

​Are you a member of THESA? (It's easy - just here click to sign up!)  THESA is doing a draw to pay for 2 members' registrations to attend the Hybrid (Virtual & in-person) Canadian Home Economics Symposium next month. Join online to become a member and email [email protected] before March 1st to enter the draw!


About the Canadian Home Economics Symposium:
  • The Canadian Symposium on Home Economics Education has been held biennially since 1991 in various locations across Canada. This is the17th annual conference on "Home Ec Issues + Directions: Home Economics, Family Studies, Human Ecology, Family and consumer science education."
  • This is a HYBRID SYMPOSIUM hosted by THE Saskatchewan Home Economics Teachers Association (SHETA) at  Alt Hotel, 480 2nd Avenue South, Saskatoon, Canada.
  •  Engage in the discussion March 3-5 in-person or via Hybrid / Virtual access.
  • In person – $170.00, Virtual* : $65.00, Graduate student: $55.00
