High School Colleagues, the Vancouver Brain Bee committee at the University of British Columbia has an exciting opportunity for your students!

"We are thrilled to announce the 16th annual Vancouver Brain Bee, scheduled for Saturday, April 6th at the Djavad Mowafaghian Centre for Brain Health. This event is a unique, Spelling Bee-styled Neuroscience competition designed for high school students in grades 9-12. This full-day interactive event allows students to test their neuroscience knowledge, engage in lab tours and interact with graduate students and professors. Local competition winners advance to the first phase of the National Brain Bee, which will be a virtual event held on April 20th, 2024. The top three participants will advance to The Final Showdown of the National competition, an in-person event at the Canadian Association of Neuroscience Conference in Vancouver on May 21, 2024. The winner of Nationals will advance to the International Brain Bee, representing Canada!"

"Please pass on the information for this event to colleagues and grade 9-12 science students at your convenience. We have attached a poster, an itinerary, our website and our Eventbrite signup below for more information on how to prepare. If you have any questions or require any other materials to supplement your announcement, please do not hesitate to reach out."
